Description
See the summary. I have uploaded the log file. It seems that the problem comes from some the assumption that Ipe is being compiled on a 386 system (whereas I have a 64 bit Mac)

Sorry for forgetting about cc'ing the maintainer. Well, where /usr/lib/libipe.dylib came from is a good question.. I have a previous version of ipe installed, which probably have put some libraries there. Khmm, I removed this library and now ipe compiles fine. I am wondering if the search order of the libraries could be changed in the config file so that /opt/.. is searched first (so that other users do not run into this problem). Thanks for the quick response!!

Unless a previous version of the MacPorts ipe port put that libipe.dylib into /usr/lib (which would be unusual), there's nothing really to do here.
Please remember to cc the maintainer. Where did /usr/lib/libipe.dylib come from? That doesn't ship with OS X, and we can't support configurations where Apple-controlled locations like /usr/lib have been modified.
