The message shown in the log is:
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n]
The log also says:
DEBUG: Skipping completed org.macports.fetch (pidgin) DEBUG: Skipping completed org.macports.checksum (pidgin)
DEBUG: Skipping completed org.macports.extract (pidgin)
This suggests you tried to install the port, it failed, then you tried again, and posted the log from the second attempt. Please clean and try again and if it fails again, post the log from the first attempt after cleaning, so that we get a complete log of the actual problem.
sudo port clean pidgin sudo port install pidgin

Summary: | Error to install pidgin → pidgin: patch failure |
I see now that your log shows you are trying to build pidgin version 2.7.0. This is extremely out of date, and has been superseded many times in MacPorts already. This suggests your ports tree is out of date. Please clean pidgin, update MacPorts base and the ports tree using selfupdate, and try again. There is no patch failure with the current version of pidgin in MacPorts (2.9.0).
sudo port clean pidgin sudo port selfupdate
output of port -d install pidgin +quartz +no_x11
