This bunruidb.txt... Is this only needed at build time, or is it also needed at runtime?
This text file is converted into a binary database at build time, and is not needed at runtime. The bunruidb.txt is a licensed product and I am not sure there is a standard way to specify such an optional file in a Portfile.

Yeah we don't really have a standard for that, I don't think it's come up before. If the file were needed at runtime I would have suggested a location that wouldn't get cleaned up at startup (like /tmp does). But since it's only needed to compile, and we can't distribute it, /tmp is as good a place as any.

Added in r78273. I removed the comment for the bunruidb variant, and instead made the variant display the message if the file is not found.
