As suggested on the ML, reposting here:
$ sudo port install ack Error: Port ack not found
Obviously, what I meant was
$ port install p5-app-ack
so first pass might be to display "use the search command" when an install fails, or auto-search for them.

I agree it might be nice although in this instance search ack shows 1300+ results. Perhaps we could use the 'new' interactive code : Port not found, do you want to search [Y/n]?
