Description
Skipping issues with mpg123 under Mac OS X Tiger:
While playing any mp3 file with mpg123 pre0.59s compiled with version 1.0 of darwinports, I get skips when using my computer for anything else other then listening. Scrolling though a webpage can cause skips, as can opening a new app. I am using a 900mhz iBook G3. One thing I noticed is that this issue does not exist in the same version of mpg123 compiled with fink, perhaps some of their changes could be implemented into the darwinports version of mpg123? Here is their patch file if it will help you:

I went ahead and integrated the patched audio driver from gentoo os x and attached the new files.

The patch file from gentoo os x seems to work even better then the fink one:
