I believe this issue still exist.
FastMatchTemplate > sudo port install lame ---> Computing dependencies for lame ---> Verifying checksum(s) for lame Error: Target org.macports.checksum returned: lame-3.99.tar.gz does not exist in /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/lame/3.99_1 Log for lame is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_audio_lame/lame/main.log Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. To report a bug, see <http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets>
How can I get past that?

whoisstan, this ticket is about a checksum mismatch, which was fixed. You are experiencing a different error: the file does not exist. This probably falls under #29223. As always when you experience an error, please clean and try again, e.g.:
sudo port clean lame
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
After checking all the sourceforge servers, it appears some of them (cdnetworks-kr-1, cdnetworks-kr-2, space, and voxel) have the old file (Last-Modified: Sun, 16 Oct 2011 13:14:32 GMT, Content-Length: 1441077) while the others have the new file (Last-Modified: Mon, 17 Oct 2011 23:50:30 GMT, Content-Length: 1441166) (or have neither of them, which is not a problem as it will redirect and try another mirror).
