ID3 @0.98 build error: Jam is deprecated and has been removed

Compiling id3 gives me a build error:

The relevant error in the log is:

Jam is deprecated and has been removed; targets that use Jam must be upgraded to native targets. For more information on doing this, consult the Xcode documentation.

This version of id3 is too old to be built with your version of Xcode and will have to be updated.

It looks like version 1.00 was released in 2006; I'll see if that works any better.
