my previous ticket number was #36188 and I installed magic. but ext2sim do not work in magic. It gives error:
dlopen(/opt/local/lib/magic/tcl/exttosim.dylib, 6): Symbol not found: _DBTechName Referenced from: /opt/local/lib/magic/tcl/exttosim.dylib Expected in: flat namespace in /opt/local/lib/magic/tcl/exttosim.dylib
I searched on google and found one similar problem. I thought it may be useful to you for solving my problem as I didnt get any of that. http://opencircuitdesign.com/pipermail/magic-dev/2008-April/000525.html

Hi,
After your work with tim magic is running on mac. It's just tim has updated few changes suggested by you in magic version 7.5.225 and 8.0.115 Please update the magic portfile for this. I request you to generate different portfile for 8.0.115 (under development version), I don't know how to do it.

Hopefully the current versions of magic and magic-devel no longer have this problem.
Note: See

tickets.
Following discussions between Prashant and myself and the developer of magic on the magic-dev mailing list, magic 7.5.223 was released, and I updated the port to it in r98016. But the magic commands Prashant said on the mailing list that he used to produce the above error (":extract all" and ":exttosim foo") still produce an error for me, though it is a different error.
