It looks like a previous selfipdate, update outdated sequence changed compiler and/or linker setup, since I ma now getting the same errors about the -mlong-... option being unnecessary, as well as errors about illegal externals when doing a freeze in eiffelstudi70@7.0.88074_0 which I have active and up until this error arose, was working fine, despite the fact that this port was not upgraded.

Sorry I can't help you on this as I no longer have access to a PPC mac. I am happy to incorporate any patches though.
