Description (last modified by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt))
Hello, Yesterday, I tried to launch one program via Wine. That wasn't my first meeting with wine, but I'm not an experienced user so I did many attempts. Then I tried Wine-Devel, and it installed and everything went better then with Wine. After that I read a recommendation to install IE 6 to fix my problem with program. I uninstalled wine-devel, installed wine back, installed winetricks and executed command "winetricks -q ie6". This fixed one problem with software, but added some more, so I've decided to come back to wine-devel. This returned mistake.
Ater that I've tried:
- To remove Winetricks, Wine, Wine-Devel, clean them and try again.
- To remove ~/.wine directory, Winetricks, Wine, Wine-Devel, clean them and try again.
- To remove MacPorts and start everything from beginning.
- The most powerful, IMHO, I've recovered a Time Machine backup with situation before installing the problem software (with Macports 2.1.2 and Wine in it)
After that I did the following:
- Selfupdated MAcports to version 2.1.3
- Tried again to install Wine-devel again. Again the same result.
- At the same time Wine and Winetricks installs normally, without any problems.
I do the following in terminal.app:
MacBookPro:~ nikolay$ sudo port install wine-devel ---> Computing dependencies for wine-devel ---> Fetching archive for wine-devel ---> Attempting to fetch wine-devel-1.5.23_0.darwin_12.i386.tbz2 from http://lil.fr.packages.macports.org/wine-devel ---> Attempting to fetch wine-devel-1.5.23_0.darwin_12.i386.tbz2 from http://mse.uk.packages.macports.org/sites/packages.macports.org/wine-devel ---> Attempting to fetch wine-devel-1.5.23_0.darwin_12.i386.tbz2 from http://packages.macports.org/wine-devel ---> Fetching distfiles for wine-devel ---> Verifying checksum(s) for wine-devel ---> Extracting wine-devel ---> Applying patches to wine-devel ---> Configuring wine-devel ---> Building wine-devel Error: org.macports.build for port wine-devel returned: command execution failed Please see the log file for port wine-devel for details: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_x11_wine-devel/wine-devel/main.log To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide: http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets Error: Processing of port wine-devel failed
I have no more ideas what can happen since yesterday afternoon. The only idea is to try restore TN backup and install wine-devel without updating MacPorts. But I don't think this will help me anyhow. So, I'm asking community for help. I can't read main.log, I don't understand it.
Thank you for the future assistance.

This might possibly be an upstream issue?

so what should I do?
The "Cc Me!" message just means I added myself to the list of people who get sent emails whenever this ticket is updated. It doesn't actually mean you have to do anything.

Thank you for the answer. The main idea is that yesterday in the afternoon I successfully installed and used Wine-Devel. That's why I restored backup from Time Machine
