Description
I am trying to install kile under mavericks. While installing kdelibs3 (one of the dependencies of kile), building fails. main.log file attached. Xcode 5.0.1 installed. Thanks for helping.

KDE 3 is very old; I'm not surprised it fails. Try using software that uses KDE 4 instead. For Kile, try the kde4-kile port instead of the kile port.
I also was trying to install kile, and spent an embarrassingly long time trying to figure out what was going wrong before finding my way to this ticket. Is there any way a comment can be added to the information that one sees when one types "port search kile" or "port info kile"? Something to the effect of "Kile is very old. Only install if you know what you are doing. Otherwise try kde4-kile."

I suggest we simply replace kile with kde4-kile. See #38444.
