LeopardG5:~$ port -v installed | grep qt
qt4-mac @4.8.7_4 (active) platform='darwin 9' archs='ppc'
I can't comment about 4.8.6, but qt-mac 4.8.7_4 installs without trouble on Leopard/PPC.
Perhaps this ticket might be closed?
