The MacPorts version is from September, 2013 but the current one (1.8.11p2) is from October, 2014. The new one compiles well in OS X 10.9 and 10.10 (verified).
The new checksums for the portfile are attached

Updated to 1.8.12 in r135527, because I had that change laying around on disk anyway. I'll also do 1.8.13 in a second.
