unable to install parallel on mavericks

I have automake 1.15 while it seems 1.14 is required. Could you/I edit this requirement somewhere to allow install

That was not clean attempt. Please run

$ sudo port clean parallel
$ sudo port selfupdate
$ sudo port install parallel

and attach the log if it fails.

The command

$ port list automake

doesn't show the installed/activated version but the latest version available. Use

$ port installed automake

to find out the installed/activated version and report the output here.

In the future please fill in the port field and Cc the port maintainer (port info --maintainer parallel) when you open a ticket.

Thanks so much fo rthe various tips, all worked like a charm. I forgot about cleaning after deinstalling. All is now back to normal
