Description
I have QGIS @2_18_2_0 installed on both MacOS 10.11.6 and 10.10.5 machines. Since about a month ago, I can no longer start the program. I had it running for the last month on the 10.10 system, but I had to reboot the machine and it no longer runs. On both machines, I get SIGSEGV almost immediately when starting the application. It starts to draw the splash screen and then crashes. It looks like the crash is in the "sip" code, which I think is coming from this port: py27-sip @4.19_0. I attach the crash dump.
I tried activating earlier versions of QGIS, but they crash because the libraries have changed.
I really need to make some more maps with QGIS, so any advice on how to get this version or an earlier version to run would be greatly appreciated!

I can't get QGIS to build; seeing issue #53231 . There are a couple things to try when I can get this on my queue.
