Description
gnueregex install it's main functional file as gnuregex.h and to use it requires modification of other programs.
shouldn't we just install it as $prefix/include/regex.h ? wouldn't that be standard?

yep i understand that.
how about placing it under $prefix/include/gnuregex ?
hm na. probably keep it like this and just reinpace regex with gnuregex I guess.

problem is that we - as we are on a BSD-like system - do have BSD regex.h in /usr/include; we could argue about which regex.h is older/whatever and deserves the "regex.h" name, but imho we are on BSD so GNU loses.
