This is very exciting! I now need to spend some quality time with the GO-I patches for handling rpath stuff. Been meaning to do this but hesitant without being able to test the current version ... hesitancy removed!

For me: Reviewing https://trac.macports.org/ticket/62391 and https://trac.macports.org/ticket/61987 to see if those are fixed now. I think there were some updated patches provided that I never got around to testing. Be good to get this dealt with as best we can!
