emacs-mac-app: Doesn't pop up permission consent dialogs under MacOS Catalina

Description
Catalina is a lot fussier about security than prior versions of MacOS. In general, when an application needs a particular permission, a pop-up box appears asking you to go to Settings and confirm, but this doesn't happen with emacs-mac-app. For most permissions, this isn't a problem as you can add the application manually, but I specifically need to give Emacs access to Automation, and there is no way to add it manually - it needs to be done by responding to the consent dialog, only this doesn't appear.

Never mind... I just deleted and reinstalled emacs-mac-app, and it now works as it should. Not sure what was wrong before, but it seems fine now. Thanks.
