Hello,
It seems that an identified bug in the version 0.17 of cartopy has been solved with version 0.18. Would it be possible to upgrade the version? I am not sure whether I can do it myself and if so, how to...

I agree, version 0.18 fixes bugs. For instance, the example hereafter does not work with 0.17 but works with 0.18: http://xarray.pydata.org/en/stable/plotting.html#maps
