Description
When trying to install meld, I'm getting a checksum error for py38-distro. I'm installing from source because my macports installation is in a non-standard location. The log file is attached.

There has been a stealth update, or something more nefarious.
When I built py39-distro, I did so using the local source file from when I updated the version to 1.5.0 in March.

Pypi is offering a tarball that doesn't match what is available on GitHub. I don't know why.

BTW, this is also missing a homepage, as I discovered when I tried to have a look at this issue.
% port lint py-distro ---> Verifying Portfile for py-distro Error: Missing required variable: homepage ---> 1 errors and 0 warnings found.

Yup. I was under the impression that the python PG took care of it.

Hmm. I just added the py39 subport of py-distro a couple of days ago. No change to the existing checksums.
