In the case of gd2, precompiled packages are not available because the license does not allow us to distribute them. Allowing MacPorts to build the port from source on your system should work, however. Please reopen the ticket if you are still experiencing this problem and can attach the main.log file.

A missing package is not necessarily a bug. See #60756. When a package is not available, MacPorts builds from source. If that fails, that's probably a bug. Please attach the main.log file so we can investigate.
