Description: Ion is a tiling/tabbed window manager for X11, geared towards keyboard users.

Comments: Unfortunately, ion's build system is not true autotools so dynamic module loading doesn't compile out of the box on Mac OS. I simply disabled it in the Portfile. Apart from that there are two very minor configuration issues on Mac OS that might be worth fixing nonetheless:

1. The default configuration uses Mod1 as the modifier for all window manager key combos. That

however has Mode_shift (which in turn is generated by the Alt key) bound to it on my Panther (with Apple's X11). But Mode_shift for some reason doesn't work as modifier. I use Mod2, which is Meta (Command) and works if "keyboard command equivalents" are turned off.

2. Ion's statusbar displays only the time correctly since the other fields would be read from Linux-

specific (/proc) files. It would be Right (TM) to modify that module so the useless "battery" and "cpu" fields are removed, if not rewritten to work with Mac OS.
